compile date: Mar 5nd, 2008

-Windows Vista compatible: now stores scripts, language, temp and other program files under "CSIDL_LOCAL_APPDATA"  (can be disabled using "portable=1")
-added option to set "portable=1" under  "[options]" in the settings.ini  to force Bit Che to use the current directory as the root dir  (mainly for making Bit Che portable safe)
-added new icons (much prettier when ALT-Tab, etc)
-rearranged some menu items locations & added 2 new menu options "Open App Data Folder" and "Clear Search History"
-self-heals the BC:// links if the registry doesn't link to the current running Bit Che.exe

this will be Bit Che 1.0 build 60 RC1!

yey :)  happy testing.. thanks everyone!

ps, notes about the new storage paths.. this change was made to be compatible with Vista and future versions of Windows. Users will no longer have UAC problems and "Run as Administrator" is no longer required. Bit Che will automatically copy the settings.ini (and essential Bit Che files) to the new storage path. this allows Bit Che to install over old versions and not lose the old settings.ini.

Quantum:
I'm quite liking build 60, one minor quible is that when you go to enter registration, there's no explicit "cancel" box, I realise there's a close box but it's not quite the same.

Anyway, not too fussed, will carry on testing tomorrow morning.

ok i moved it over.. there is a cancel button, but it appears where the "OK" button is once you hit ok..  but for standards, i extended the boxes to fit the Cancel button independently..  thanks for catching that ;)

hey everyone...  im kinda hoping to get a little more feedback about the that last test build.. if you get a chance? can you let me know what you think, and also if everything is working, and what your system is.. just so I can begin to move this build over to a public release if everything seems to working..

thanks :)

Quantum:
There's not a lot I can see, it's quite good, probably going to be a bit before I find any noteworthy bugs.

As another pieces of polish I would like to to say that under:

"Options > Show / Hide Scripts"

Is a toggle tick, literally speaking your ticking the option "Show / Hide", which doesn't make much sense, it should just be:

"Options > Show Scripts"

Ticking that makes logical sense to show and unticking "Show" makes logical sense that it would hide.
