I know we have discussed wireless routers before and decided that we where at a limit,
Does this new one  have anything extra to offer @£37.

At £40 from a company I've never heard of it's not going to be great

300 Mb/s is utter marketing BS! If you're going to get draft n router and you want it to deliver, you need to get draft n cards, which are really expensive right now (£50 -70). But they will eventually come down in price.

I read a lot of reviews at CNET on wireless routers recently, if you want top end expect to have to pay £70 - 90

Edimax is quite a large company,on the stock exchange,with offices in USA,UK,Europe,Australia and far east. Their products are readily available to us.

Routers are like graphics cards, you can read specs and marketing nonsense till the cows come home, it's all about benchmarks, benchmarks and reviews.

If you find some good reviews go for it, but keep these in mind:

* You need draft n cards to get the draft n signal
* Mixed signals (any combination draft n and g/a/b) can reduce the performance of a router dramatically, check out benchmarks in the area if you can. You might only be using the g signal for now, but you'll probably want to upgrade in steps to n eventually.
