Installed the Vista TCP Patch / Bit Che Stops Working
DougWare:
I installed the Vista TCP Limit Patch, now Bit Che stops performing searches.
When I attempt to perform a search, the list of connected sites at the bottom dwindles down to nothing in about 3 seconds. Attempting to update the scripts displays "Connection aborted due to timeout or other error" in less than 1 second.
I'm not having problems in any other program.
Is there a work around for this or is it s bug?
Thanks,
Doug

Hi Doug,
Could you please tell us what version Vista and of Bit Che are you running 1.59 or 1.60, and possibly where you download the Bit Che software from such as Cnet.com or another authorized web site. Have you done anything else removal and reinstall Bit Che or ?? This may help us in finding what the problem is for you sooner.
Thank you for your patience,
Fuzzy

I'm using 1.60 Guevara Edition. I downloaded it from CNet, and reinstalled twice.
Before I installed the Vista patch, my searches were taking 10 or 15 minutes because of the half-open connection limit.

Hi Doug,
This was posted in "Fixed Bugs & Filled Requests" so our Moderators that do the bug issues probably haven't seen this yet, I'm kinda confused though with the Cnet.com download is a older 1.59 and there is no authorized "Guevara Edition" that can be downloaded. The Guevara is thru a donation of $5.00 or doing some forum script work or a gift from the administration or a moderator.
I hope this wasn't some zip file available from some torrent site.
Regards,
Fuzzy
DougWare:
That's a good point, but I can't be more specific (too much to remember). I can tell you I originally downloaded it from download.com (CNET), that I actually made a $5.00 donation (from admin [at ]dougware.net) and that now I'm running 1.60. I received my donation ID e-mail on Jul 8th, 2008.
I'm sorry if I can't be more help about where the update came from.
