meth comedown

Guys, have you ever felt like you were kicked out of your regime and sent into hibernation after a “high”? You feel empty, exhausted, as if even your favorite things no longer bring you pleasure... This, it seems, is what that creepy “meth comedown” is all about? Who can explain what the point is?

Yes, that’s right — a “meth comedown” (or “crash”) is when, after a high, your energy instantly disappears and you fall into a deep state of fatigue. Symptoms often include depression, panic, anxiety, and, to top it all off, a desperate desire to get back to “free time.” For some, this may only last a day or two, but in the case of long-term use, it can last for days or even weeks.

Meth comedown is the sudden drop in the stimulant effects of methamphetamine. After the brain is overloaded with excitement, it suddenly loses dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine levels, which leads to physical and emotional burnout. Learn more in the article: https://unitedrecoveryproject.com/rehab-blog/what-is-meth-comedown/  . People often experience extreme fatigue, loss of motivation, depression, anxiety, irritability, problems sleeping and eating — and some even experience hallucinations. Typically, intense symptoms last 24–48 hours, but milder symptoms can last up to two weeks! The best thing you can do is give yourself time, get plenty of rest, eat properly, drink plenty of water, and seek professional support if necessary.
