NASA STS-119 Discovery Shuttle Mission
« on: March 11, 2009, 08:59:02 pm »
Hi All,

Well The USS Discovery is on the launch pad ready for the mission 200 miles above the "Earth" traveling 15,000 miles per hour to install the last set of four solar array panels on the end of starboard truss "S6". This will complete the solar array system and hopefully the repairs made from the last shuttle launch will be sufficient for normal rotational sarge operation toward the completion of the International Space Station. God's Speed !!

As always Yahoo broadcasts the event "LIVE"  24/7  during the mission for 15 days or until the mission is completed.

"BROADCAST"

Enjoy,
Fuzzy

Hey TheHalfTM

I'm really glad you enjoyed the link ..... it's not a perfect picture but gives you a good idea what NASA, ESA and Russia is doing on the International Space Station during there missions.

If you don't know much about the shuttle history from conception around 1969 to the present design a great web site for information is ....

Yep Tex .... Was watching the Discovery on it's 36th space mission, and the completion of the final solar array. It was quite the show ..... lets just hope some of that new space junk from the Russian and USA satellites collision several hundred miles above the ISS. It could get interesting maybe a domino situation .... who knows
