Free streaming sports games
TheNightWatchman:
I've talked about the streaming P2P stuff, like TV Ants, etc, but I've recently found a site that will stream (or at least link to a stream) of all current live sports events.
I've been looking for the Arsenal football games online since I live in Australia and some aren't shown on TV here, and found a great site for all the Arsenal games with various streams (http://goonerstreams.com/) but while I was there and one of the games weren't working I was given a link to
http://www.mixlivetv.com/
and have used it a couple of times since.
I've never actually watched anything other than football matches on it, but there seems to be all kinds of things, American Football, Hockey, Basketball, Baseball, Rugby.
I think there aren't any links on right now because the games are either over or not going to start for a few hours. Anyway if you go to that site when the game is about to start you will see a link. I've found it very useful.
And for Billy & Tex - it has a streaming link to ManUn.tv and Chelsea.tv (you guys probably already have this).

Thanx for that link Banana, i will check it out, it's costing me a fortune paying for Sky, and Setanta sports every month.
I have tried TVants, etc, but the quality is very poor. :(
TheNightWatchman:
I would say the quality of this is better than TV ants, but not by a lot. Certainly not like watching it from Sky/Setanta, it's like watching the game on YouTube.
But you never get any of those annoying buffering for hours problems like I got with TVAnts.
billyfridge:
Naaaaah, don't like it Banana.
Setanta is showing a lot more football next season. My son has Sky in his room, but only the basic package. when he gets back to work (out of work since last October) he will get the sports added, then I can cancell the Sky sports in Virgin Media, saving myself £19 per month.
TheNightWatchman:
For me I can watch 98% of all Arsenal league games on Fox here, and Champions League on ESPN, so it's only really the League Cup and some FA Cup ties (such as the tie with Hull) that aren't shown here, and about 2 league games, so it's not really worth paying the extra for Setanta. Just watch them online, only a few games a season.
