Agreed. It would certainly have been better if someone else was cast.

I really think he was cast on his look when he was turning "bad" as towards the end of Ep3 he was convincing when turning 'evil'... but that's not much of the two movies is it... most of the time he's happy... and it makes me cringe!

I actually liked Christensen as  Darth Vader...before he was that persona.  Ir caught me by surprise when I watched SW I-III but he seems so naive, so gullible, so favorable as to what the future holds.  I am, however, a generation that watched 4-6 first.  However, in exploring who he is, what he is, I found that I could accept such a sweet, and caring person person as portrayed by Hayden...after that it was what the story deemed him to be - the ruthless Darth Vader.  However, after
"knowiing the story," he becomes nothing to me.  

But I still liked him for the innocent man/child he once was.

hey i think its really nice topic because i love Hayden Christensen in star wars .He always played good role in every movie like Star wars ,Jumper and In the mouth of madness.
