...hmmm, I don't really trust that site. It contradicts a lot of the sites I read and trust which have compared the 8800GTX to a pair of ATI 1950XTXs in CrossFire and in some cases takes some really odd settings to benchmark against.

Depends what game you're playing. Sometimes faster CPUs don't help at all, some times they do. A lot of games have crappy CPUs in mind when they build the games, so it's the GPU that is the bottleneck.  If you've got something equivelent to an AMD 3800+ X2 or above, I wouldn't worry too much for a good 6+ months.

What is the difference between running 2x 6800GS GLH  factory ovetclocked cards 512 mb SLI (bridged)  for one 8800GTX which costs 4 times as much. The Mobo can take it, the performance is more than adequate for most games. Is this a designer thing? I can still over clock my cards to more rhan compete with this.
