you'll have to get tex to come and round and sort them out for you. he's gotten very knowledgeable on these things recently :o
for the PC with a file missing, if you've got an XP disk somewhere you should be able to boot of that, or at least reformat the computer

Tex is learning the hard way, the internet helps a lot and I now have more friends who dabble in pc builds. ;D
Billy, Off the top of my head I would say that a 40 gig drive would be too much for your Mo-bo. I still have an old Win98 in the attic which only had a 4gb hd and was advised that probabably the most I could add would be 10gb .If your running an old me mo-bo then 40gb may not be compatible with your system. Stop drinking Boddies for a week and buy a new one, or better still start from scratch and build your own ::)
cheers

That's simple Billy your BIOS does not recognize the drive, perhaps you can look at the following links to make adjustments on an older PC.

http://www.unicore.com/

Then follow the country support. Me it would be as follows;

http://www.unicore.com/home.cfm

http://www.unicore.com/biosupgrades/

http://www.unicore.com/biosagent/

...and that's all I can write (type) for now to upgrade your systems BIOS Billy.

l've got three h/dv's Dinner 40gig, 60gig and 80gig, the 40gig has got ME on it, that is the one l'm using now. funny thing is, when i look at this h/d in my computer its showing 1.99gig (no lt's not a typo it is that small) where it should be showing 40gig....l been into bios to try to make it see the drive but it still comes back as 1.99 gig ??? l can't put any security on because it says theres no room.
the other two drives have a bad fault on them. when i fit them on here they wont boot..(ntldr is missing) l supposedly formatted the 60 gig but it still says ntldr is missing.....l haven't touched the 80gig drive because all my stuff is on there including my porn ;)
l'm hoping when i get a pc sorted to put that on as slave and save all my stuff.
l tried to sort them with my xp cd in repair but it wont repair them it freezes halfway through.......l can't do too much to this pc because its borrowed.
l've asked both Kyo and Tex to lend me £500 to buy a new pc.......but have not had a reply as yet :'(
