VLC player always Rocks as it provides all the benefits a player used to have in it and user friendly too and all format is  supported by VLC player.

I installed the k-lite codec pack years ago and have no problems, VLC does crash on me from time to time when I play .div and .xvid files ( my looney tunes like Foghorn Leghorn  ;D) and Winamp for my audio files.

k-lite codec never brings any serious issue..It just works great!!

You should add PotPlayer. Its a very popular player.
