texasboy:
Thanks folks.
Just one more small item which may be of use to someone. I noticed over the past two weeks that my router Netgear 54mbs was going crazy, lights flashig as they do when someone in the family is using their pc. This was even when all the secondry pcs were shut down. The main family pc was running much slower. I immediately thought that some of our new neighbours had tapped into my system.
Called NTL who advised that this would not slow pc down, and to rerun the Network cdr (not uninstalling) and refresh the original settings. Worked great and now back to normal.
Now if I could only find a suitable cdr to refresh Billy!
cheers ::)

A few weeks ago, I encountered an unexpected internet outage with CenturyLink, disrupting my work and personal activities. I reached out to centurylink customer support via their online chat. The representative promptly acknowledged the issue, informed me of ongoing maintenance in my area, and provided an estimated restoration time. They also offered a temporary mobile hotspot to ensure I had internet access during the downtime. I appreciated their proactive communication and the alternative solution provided.
