My elderly neighbor has a desktop that keeps dropping internet so I was trying to help. Measured with the WiFiMan app on my phone and it says 40.8 Mbps download but when I go to spectrum and measure with the desktop it comes back with speed 3.5 Mbps? He said it was worse when the desktop was under the desk but I'm stumped. Could there be interference somewhere? I am on the same network next door and have a drop now and then but generally very strong connection. He says the guy who maintains his PC says there is nothing wrong with it and it is relatively new within the last couple of years. Any ideas?
