Looking for examples of paid p2p services
« on: November 11, 2019, 07:55:02 pm »
I'm working on a distributed cloud storage platform (PM me if you're curious), and we're looking for some advice. Many ISP customer agreements say that the customer agrees not to run servers or services out of their home. I know that this happens anyways, so I'm looking for examples of services that run in people's houses that either (a) constitute a server, run out of the home, or (b) constitute a service (preferably paid) that runs out of the home. A good example would be how Spotify used to serve some of their music via a p2p service. If you have any other ideas, I'd love to hear them. Thanks!
