It shows a lack of professionalism. Sure, maybe it was your manager who was being an idiot by publicly embarrassing you in front of the entire company, but did they deserve to be told to go [expletive] themselves?

Probably not. There are better ways to handle people who act like jerks in the workplace. It makes other people feel uncomfortable. There are times when blowing up at someone is called for, but if you want to be liked by your coworkers, save the potty mouth for outside of work or make sure no one can hear it. If everyone else swears like a sailor, that's one thing — but if it makes you stand out like an idiot, then swearing isn't appropriate for you. It looks bad.
