The future of the Net is The Grid
Scientists at Cern, the research facility behind the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) have created a faster, more instantaneous Internet.

nice in theory... as i sit here in my ssh tunnel eeking out a mere 2500Kb from my DPI throttling ISP.
it does sound great though :-\
-
Will it come with a big price tag.? Or will it open up a bit of competition from our servers plying us for business.
It will many changes if it finally gets to the shelves.
cheers

Internet2 is becomming more popular here in the states. Currently only large corporations and various universities are members, my university, being one. If we exchange files with another Internet2 member, it's like gigabit LAN speeds. :p
