Title: New Internet in progress
Post by: texasboy on October 20, 2008, 07:10:36 am
The future of the Net is The Grid

Scientists at Cern, the research facility behind the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) have created a faster, more instantaneous Internet.

Internet2 is becomming more popular here in the states. Currently only large corporations and various universities are members, my university, being one. If we exchange files with another Internet2 member, it's like gigabit LAN speeds. :p

The Grid is sort of a newer version of Internet2 I believe.
