Title: Best Movie of 2006
Post by: TheNightWatchman on December 24, 2006, 05:23:50 pm
Now that 2007 is [nearly] over what in your opinions were the highlights of your time at the cinema (or DVD...).

In my opinion it was:

Children of Men
The Prestige

although I haven't seen all the ones I would have liked to.

Top contender for the Oscar is The Departed. I personally don't think it was by far all that great... ok at best. I'm interested if someone thought it was a brilliant movie to tell me why? I'm thinking maybe there was something I missed...

i like also simple movies ....

children of men : "save the baby, save the baby" ;)))
the departed : "hum hum ... bad is good and good is bad" .... you'd better see the original movie ...

more seriously, these movies lack of interest and scenario.

best movie ? : an inconvenient truth ;)

haha that was great.

You wanted a movie that had interest and scenario, so you're favourite was a doco. Nice!

Children of Men wasn't just "save the baby save the baby"! It was the underlying factors of man corrupting itself that was good.

I hated Children of Men, and I know a lot of other people who hated it too.

Probably my favorite movie of 2006 was The Wicker Man. Even seeing the original before the remake, I thought the remake was amazing.

how can anyone like harry potter version 5. it was almost as bad as the first one.. bad script.. not as dark as the book itself..and u feel no connection with the characters...

umm.. whats the best sequel for this yr? i saw ocean's thirteen (havent seen the new bourne yet...) ..but shrek 3, spidey 3, potc 3, harry .. all of them were pretty alrite..to downright bad (potc 3 and shrek 3..were really not upto the mark compared to the predecessors!!!!)

best over all movie of the year.. hehe.. im gonna slip one by..and say the best movie for the year.. hasnt been shown yet..but if i had to pick one.. i would say hot fuzz ...more seriously ... an inconvenient truth :)
