I will start this off with a game that haunted my memory for long time. I loved this game:

I didn't start indulging into PC's until 2000 and the only games I ever played on a PC were those embedded into the Win system; ie. solitaire.  ::)

I played the original Duke Nukem series and when Duke Nukem 3D came around I thought it had the best graphics. :)

I also played wolfenstein, Doom, but my favorite of all was StarCraft.

planescape torment
red alert
wing commander saga
ultima
Baldur's Gate
another world
prince of persia
 and a lot more...
