OK,

A password to Bit Che??? That's for chip to answer, on the other hand you may want to disable the password functionality with IE, (8) your using.

Off hand I do not know the exact settings (I rarely use IE), but you can google that and start from there.

OK billy,

With Firefox you have a choice tools>options>security>passwords. There you can have FF remember said passwords or not.

With Windows did you create a user name/password upon installation? You can always go to control panel and adjust user account settings, like removing password verification etc..

I agree Synbios about installing your own OS in the PS3 and to hack in and prove a point is one goal but not to compromise customers data. Bovski, I agree that Sony is protecting their own asses but not their customers.

Offering a wide variety of add-ons, the Facebook fan page makes it easy to stay in touch with your current fans and build an even larger fan base. Facebook itself connects 250 MILLION people around the world in a huge social network. 100 Million of these people are also using Facebook mobile on their phones and other wireless devices. If you have a mere 1% success rate, you could build 2.5 MILLION fans almost overnight. How many fans do you have now? I bet most of us could fairly say less that 10,000... What could 2.5 million fans do for your career?

I do believe that is in the works, perhaps you should PM chip with that idea.

Browsers / Re: Firefox 3.1 Beta 3 (soon to be Firefox 3.5)
« on: June 03, 2011, 07:52:57 pm »
I would love to be updated and/or corrected on where the major browsers are on security.

ps, another nice feature of Google Chrome is that they embed adobe flash and auto-update it. so, I know if I set a friend up with Google Chrome, they are not going to be getting exploited by a 1 year old Adobe Flash vulnerability.

and..  in case any reads this wondering what a sandbox is...  basically,  the browser runs and locks the webpages in a separate memory space, in a vault. nothing can come out of the vault and on to the computer without your permission, so even if the website does some exploit to hijack a plugin, its still locked inside the memory space vault/sandbox and can not reach your computer. (really lame description)

I have researched this and there is a method to PREvent memory coding within IE8 (not9), Firefox(all v) and Chrome. All you need to do is type in (said) code to browser URL and click enter.

Offbeat Relish / Man-Size Meteor From Comet Lights Up Georgia Sky
« on: June 03, 2011, 04:58:00 pm »
By Mike Wall , SPACE.com Senior Writer Space.com | SPACE.com – Thu, Jun 2, 2011

A brilliant meteor blazed through the sky above Georgia recently, and two NASA fireball-monitoring cameras caught the dramatic display on video.

The meteor was caused by a human-size chunk of an unknown comet. It was the brightest meteor yet recorded by NASA's fireball-observing network — based at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. — in its nearly three years of operation, officials said.

The 6-foot-wide (1.8-meter) space rock barrelled into Earth's atmosphere at 10:47 p.m. EDT on May 20 (0247 GMT on May 21), about 66 miles (106 kilometers) above the city of Macon, Ga.

At the video link, look at the bottom of the screen as the meteor comes into view.

REDMOND, Wash. – June 1, 2011

Today, at the D9 Conference, we demonstrated the next generation of Windows, internally code-named “Windows 8,” for the first time. Windows 8 is a reimagining of Windows, from the chip to the interface. A Windows 8-based PC is really a new kind of device, one that scales from touch-only small screens through to large screens, with or without a keyboard and mouse.
