Scripts updated on install, but bit che won't actually start up. Not in Task Manager :(
Recently installed an "nLited" Windows, maybe I've removed a component Bit Che requires.
Are you aware as to what services/components Bit Che requires in order to run?
Regards,
Nathan

weird... not familiar with nLite at all (but i did just go read the homepage to see what it was)... but the scripts "updater.exe" uses just about all of the same dependencies as "Bit_Che.exe": mscomctl.ocx and mswinsck.ocx... however, i noticed a blip in the nLite FAQ about "uxtheme.dll".. maybe this could be causing you problems..?
the only other dependencies are all core components of Windows:
uxtheme.dll - windows theme support
advapi32.dll - windows registry access
comctl32.dll - windows common controls
shell32.dll - windows shell access
kernel32.dll - windows kernel events/timing
gdi32.dll - windows graphics processing

Thanks for your quick reply.
nLite did play with my uxtheme.dll, but it didn't delete it and it was working with the same version of uxtheme.dll in my previous install.
I reverted uxtheme.dll to its original state/version, but to no avail. I'm really quite stumped :(

That's not my experience, I had an error installing BitChe the other day on someone's computer, didn't have the right dll, I'll check it out some time in the next few days and report back.

Ya missed some MSVBVM60.DLL & VBA6.DLL

I downloaded vba6.dll (wasn't present in \system32). But to no avail.
Is there perhaps a debug parameter for bit_che.exe?
If I knew why this was happening, then I could perhaps fix my nlite windows version.
Then, of course, use bit che again and again :D

Found the problem: turns out Data Execution Prevention was on and blocking Bit Che without telling me it was doing so. How annoying :(
