Post by: chelseaman on February 15, 2011, 09:29:58 am
;D Hi you lot. Is it really worth my time to change from Win Vista Ultimate 64 bit to Win 7 after all this time ? Will it make billy answer me quicker or have the Half finally decode my problems.
Naw!!  Only money  needed, I1ll wait till next OS soon.lol

heya cowboy..

win7 is much better and faster than vista, yes.

i would not hesitate to upgrade a machine from vista to win7.

also, win7 SP1 will be coming out soon, with even more enhancements.

and i think win8 is still 2 years away?..  so, there is no way i could recommend staying on vista for 2 more years before you jump to the next OS.

I agree vista is obsolete with win7 around.

There are perhaps some reasons why somebody would want to stay with XP over 7, but 7 beats Vista hands down.

;D  Hi, Certainly  sounds good way to go. I had bought wife better laptop with win 7 and after a week she wouldnt give it up.
Why do MS make the price so high. It must be a bummer for someone who bought a new vista rig during this last year and now another upgrade. Will probably fork out shortly, but really not having any problems with present system.
cheers

did you buy it during their time period prior to Win7 being released when they offered a free upgrade to Win7?

" Any system purchased from June 26, 2009 to January 10, 2010 is eligible for the free upgrade. "

if you did, see this page, and select our manufacture, then proceed to follow directions to receive your free upgrade :)

if thats not a possibility for you, i have heard about a 'fix' for Windows 7 that will allow you to use it without activation, if you wanted, PM.
