Hi Syn....is Chip going retograde in his old age???...lol
-
I really like the idea of Google+ hope I can receive an invite!
-
Synbios, can you sign up and see if it gives you other invites? :) :)
I am curious to see what its like. And the video chat sounds great.
-
...and google + is all about???
-
The main feature is that Google+ can group contacts and you can publish certain things to certain groups really easy.
E.g if you had a work group then you wouldn't want to publish personal photos to it most likely so you would select the family group.

so... Goodbye Facebook and LinkedIn.. and Twitter.. NICE! :)
-
Would like to thank Bovski for the invite! ;D

Anyone still need invites? I signed up and have some now.
I've been using Windows/MSN Messenger for years for video chat. It's too bad not more people have it, but video chat is not a big deal to me. Nothing revolutionary there.

I used MSN messenger for video chat years ago, but found Skype much better, in fact Tex (chelseaboy) has just gone on Skype. :)

In the past, Google has little success with some big projects including Google Buzz, Google Wave and even their recent +1 button. However, just like Gmail and Google Music Google tries to build interest in their services by keeping it as invite only.
Most of the services Google launch are made available in US first, just like the invites for Google Music. Similarly, Google+ is also invite only right now and you can apply for an invite directly.
There are no direct invites being sent out right now but you can get yourself an invite by visiting this link. Additionally, you can learn more about Google+ service by visiting this link.

I still have my account but I don't really see the point of google+.
I like the concept of circles and some of the organization but I just don't see the room for another social networking site right now. Facebook is still king (as much as I hate it, but I actually have a love-hate relationship with facebook).
