The Prestige (2007) (Christopher Nolan + Christian Bale)
Flags of Our Fathers (2006) (Clint Eastwood)
Guerrilla (2007) (Steven Soderbergh + Benicio Del Toro)
The Blood Diamond (2007) (Director of Last Samurai)
Southland Tales (2006) (Writer/Director of Donnie Darko)
Chapter 27 (2007) (Jared Leto + a good controversal  & interesting plot)
Stranger Than Fiction (2006) (Director of Stay & Finding Neverland & Monster's Ball)

Heh, don't forget "Snakes on a a Plane"!  ;) :P

The trailer for that movie is the only one I know of where the story is so ridiculous that audience laughed at it. And it's a serious action/horror.

No it's really not!
lol
It's suppose to be EXACTLY what you just said "the story is so ridiculous that audience laughed at it"
The only reason Sam Jackson took on the role was because he saw the title. He signed for it before he read the script!
Don't take it seriously! PLEASE! Just go and watch it as a stupid, fun, piece of ENTERTAINMENT (a word many people seem to have forgotten) and you'll find it's great.

"Enough is enough! I've had it with these motherf-ing snakes on this motherf-ing plane!"

When it comes out, I might see it. Just for that line.

A bit like the only reason I saw X-Men The Last Stand
"You know who I am? I'm the juggernaught BITCH!"

I agree, also I read earlier this year that in the comics (as well as the animated TV series) that Spiderman revealed his idenity; should be interesting.

You're trying to tell me that Sin City isn't interesting?
I don't know why so many people like it - I thought most would hate it, I have nothing against that.
But you can't say, even if you dislike it, that it is not interesting!

Imo, the best "dark and interesting" movie is Fight Club.

Mmm it's quite good. I just didn't find the end clever? If you were to give it to me as a premise to make a movie, I would think it's awesome... maybe I was having an off day... no because I loved the first 3/4 of that movie... I dunno? lol...  :-\
