Will try to make the first one very simple.

You can forget your small metric system on this one,a vowell seperates you moving to the answer, although the vowell sometimes disappears in modern times. Just to be generous I will tell you that if you know your helicopters(Super Stallions.Sea Knights,Hueys and Cobra`s) it will ship you out in the right direction.

That sounds like too much work. It has to be something simpler. Pub -> Bar, maybe? He used the word "negative" rather than "sad", so that must mean something. I'll get it later.
Other ideas:
- "That one went down rather quickly"? Oddly worded and Tex has added hints to the beginning of puzzles before.
- "Hola!" means "hello" in Spanish and Catalan. I doubt it refers to Hola, Kenya.
- Its obviously not too easy, so "mood" might mean something.
- "titanic" refers to either the boat, the movie, size, or the Titans of Greek mythology
My first guess was Bermuda ("bar->"ber"), but they don't actually speak Spanish and I don't see any other connections.

Amsterdam. Not that tough, really. I don't see how "am" is a preposition, but "ster" (stir) is easy, and I'm guessing "dam" refers to the Hoover Dam.
"am" is a verb. A preposition is something like "at" or "in". Also, I usually think of a dam as the actual structure and the water around it as a lake or reservoir.

Well, i am gone from the house for work 50 hours per week, then i have the house chores to do, and frankly i do get tired. I do need loads of sleep when i have gone so long without holidays. These 2 weeks, mostly will be spent at home, doing not much but enjoying the beach, and the garden. A short trip to Qld, gold coast for a few days, and thats about it. Just some R&R. Why Manchester, how did you pull that one out of the hat. ::)
I would love to see more of England, especially one part hehe.
I have won an overseas trip this year, luxury problem, don't know where to go. Maybe Bali again, maybe China, NZ, Tahiti or Hawaii.. don't know, but that won't be until Sept. Going to Victoria at the end of April for a week to see the kids. Thats about it. Perhaps you could help me in where to go out of my choices.
Oh Tex.. and it will NEVER be Hobart. That strikes a very cold nerve inside me.. Tasmania as a whole, would have loved to have seen it, but it has a bitter twist now, so i don't think i will ever go there.

2)CHINA--very cultural provided you are in a group and follow guidelines.Big brother is always watching you.
3)NZ--Lovely scenery,old world charm. You may have trouble counting sheep ::) NightWatchman has recently moved from here and might shed more light on NZ.
4)Tahiti--- Heavily populated,poluted city,poor beaches and rain forest interior.Other "Society Islands" offer much better choices
5) Hawaii--- "My cup of pineapple juice". Great weather,tourist orientated. This would be my choice.

Bali.. well i have been there after a bomb, same as Paris after a bomb, but hey one could go off in our own backyard, look at London or anywhere for that instance. Can't go worrying about the might happens. Its still a lovely place to go, but they don't have good beaches unless you travel to the smaller ones.
China.. my brother goes there every 6 weeks on buying trips, my parents used to go there often and mum was there a few months ago with my neice on their own, always have a ball, she is 80 and never goes in a group, but yes, they are always being watched.
NZ.. mmm.. could maybe have to drive a bit to see what i want, and i don't really want to have to go doing that exploring stuff more like little day trips. Perhaps because i am tired now, don't like to think of being an explorer then, but i do love to do that, i just come home exhausted from those kind of holidays, as i tend to walk and walk for about 18 hours then.
Tahiti... i don't know what pics you have seen but this one doesn't show over population, or bad beaches etc. Similar to Phuket, you really have to go to the smaller islands to see the pristine beaches etc, but this looks ideal to me.
Hawaii... now thats what i call over populated, however i have a cousin who will not go to any place but there. She works for a travel industry and that is always her place of choice.

I think you need to actually travel to NZ to realise that you'd most likely end up at a beach or a mountain as a tourist... no sheep... in fact I don't remember the last time I saw a sheep in NZ but I would see Seagulls everyday.

the island is pretty tiny, a nice bike ride around it will let you see everything.. my hostel was but a half mile from OLDE.. last summer i just happened accidentally to arrive there with my backpacking friend the same day that a German regatta (1000+) arrived in the VERY tiny port, and they had a HUGE party... and since me and my friend were from california, they welcomed us warmly :).... nice nostalgic Where Am I for me... hehe :)

well, i wouldnt worry to much yet about the potty mouth yet, since my continent still seems to be overlooked.. but here in the states we sometimes use that expression to describe someone who might use "foul language"..
although, regarding the city, you did nail another one of the clues... now if we could just get you headed in the right direction over to my country...

After seeing the answer to that one.. i asked my partner to have a look at the pic as he hadn't seen it before.. I asked him where he thought it was.. "easy he said.. thats bergen... why didn't you ask me before this" You see he grew up around all that area... haha.. silly me. I thought it was somewhere in the UK. He has a farm at the end of that fjord... at Simadalen.

wasn't i kicking myself after that one. Here is a pic of me taken at that harbour. Can't believe that there are relatives there that we stayed with there, and we spent a few days there. What a beautiful place that is.. the sun shone on the days that we were there.. so unusual.

Correct translation.
It is a bit hard to read when an online translater is used and its hard to extract meaning from it (meaning what you Tex originally posted) however i guess you had fun with it, what if i start writing in dialect huh?
He laughed.. as he wrote it in dialect, so that when you tried to translate it, it would come out wrong. He works online with Norwegians daily, and speaks Norwegian daily.. hehe... he just couldn't help himself in trying to trick the translator system... hehe..

i think, unintentionally, a bunch of the clues were just misleading us in directions that didnt necessarily need to confuse us, like jumping ship, ie, I was always looking for somewhere close to the ocean that possibly had a connecting ferry route, i had previously searched for a place called 'steam springs' but oddly nothing came up, also there were a bunch of cities in oregon called 'twomile' 'fourmile' or that had mile in its name, so that was also throwing me off... even with the clue regarding using a steam iron, my head was still wrapped around the actual 'chore'.. and looked for places that might have to do with 'wrinkle' or 'press' etc..

The NZ Crater lake is yellow, but it doesn't have pine trees. I don't use the pics to try to see where they come from, as you remember, you even told me how to do it once, and i still couldn't retrieve it.
I will keep searching, but at this point, i will say NZ until i find something else, that would be the stinky one at Rotorua

The Devil's Bath is one of the most striking sights in the Wai-O-Tapu thermal springs area of New Zealand.
This sulphuric pool is part of a large area that heaves and bubbles with geothermal activity. Wai-O-Tapu is just a few minutes's drive from the town of Rotorua but be warned: the Devil's Bath smells even worse than it looks.

Yes of course you are correct chip and as Bovski pointed out that "steve" was the birds name is unfortunately not correct. Poor "steve" passed away suddenly last year when he flew into a ships funnel and got toasted. This one is called "juanita" a pretty little bird and to the best of my knowledge is a " Orange Breasted Falcon " You will notice the large claw like feet for grabbing prey
