I am so disappointed in this CD. I started to grow onto it, but even after that I turned on Meteora and that sounded like a masterpiece.

I find that if you listen to it expecting Hybrid Theory (which was much better than Meteora?) then that's exactly what you'll find.
I really like some songs, while others are just OK. They certainly did the right thing with this album.
People seem hard to please -- when Meteora came out, it was "just the same as Hybrid Theory". When Minutes to Midnight is getting around it's "completely different" and both are seen as negative?!?

No I loved hybrid theory, and when Meteora came out I fell in love with that immediately too. I love both of those CD's and can listen to them all the way through without skipping a track.

That's not what I'm doubting... what I'm saying is they did something completely different this time, and if you were expecting that same kind of sound you would hate it because it is REALLY different. I think they've kind of made up for not having many soft songs by shoving them all in one album... if you had a mixed album it would be really good... but it was their experiment I suppose.

i turned it off after the second track. i like the cover artwork, but am i the only one who finds all the screaming quite unpleasant?

i agree the screaming is rather annoying.. however, im not really a linkin park fan, i guess i like a few of their more popular songs (thanks to the radio for getting them stuck in my head).. but i do like the 3rd track, Leave Out All The Rest... did you get that far bosoxfan?
also... can anyone find CORRECT lyrics for Leave Out All The Rest? i looked at like 20 different sites and they all seemed to have some words wrong...

This is one of those albums you actually have to listen to... if you turn it off after the first few tracks no wonder you hated it.
If you can't bring yourself to listen to the rest... fair enough 8)

That seems to be one of the most popular ones.
I like the single, What I've Done.
I'm starting to grow more and more on some of the other songs after listening through the whole cd a few times. But this is no Meteora..

Meteora wasn't as good as Hybrid.

I guess you can say that. I knew their biggest hits, crawling, one step closer, and in the end. Then I think I got meteora, and when I liked that I went back and got Hybrid Theory. I really think Meteora is a better album though, I have a harder time deciding what are the best songs on it.

yea the new LP CD sucks... there's one or two songs that are okay!

i agree the new LP has alot of filler songs on it so it seems.......there are a few i love.....but so many that don't impress me
