Bloomberg BusinessWeek had a feature on this exact same topic several months ago: "The end of international trade." They cited theft of intellectual property, while conducting manufacturing in foreign factories as a big one. Cisco's router business was basically ripped off by cheaper Huawei models, while partnering up with Chinese businesses. Also, they put greater hope in the future of U.S.-based robotic, 3D manufacturing, which is quietly gaining strength.
