Computers - Technology / Ps4 Apex Legends mouse issue!!
« on: November 28, 2019, 12:43:17 am »
Having issues with the mouse "locking up" when I make larger movements moving quickly from side to side. Can't seem to find a fix from Google.

Essentially, if I move too fast looking side to side the mouse will just stutter moving and then continue on.

P2P - Filesharing / uTorrent Marked as Trojan by Avast Antivirus!!!

[rolleyes]uTorrent Marked as Trojan by Avast Antivirus    http://torrentfreak.com/utorrent-marked-as-trojan-by-avast-080428/
Written by Ernesto on April 28, 2008fedloan irs.gov easybib

Thousands of uTorrent users got a worrying message from their antivirus software recently. Their favorite BitTorrent client was recognized as a trojan by Avast, and deleted form their computers. Attempts to redownload the software from uTorrent.com resulted in the same trojan warning.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with uTorrent. The application somehow got listed in Avast’s list of trojans, resulting in a false positive. uTorrent 1.7.7 was mistakenly listed as “Win32:Poison-DU [trj]“, whereas the newer Beta’s were unaffected.

Such ‘false positives’ often happen with other harmless applications - better safe than sorry- but since uTorrent doubled its user base in just 12 months and is installed on millions of computers, this problem affected a sizable number of people. It didn’t take long before the issue was reported to Avast, and after approximately 5 hours the problem was fixed.

Earlier this week it became clear that uTorrent’s WebUI (+ Azureus and TorrentFlux) were vulnerable to several exploits. Apparently the vulnerabilities in the webUI, allow outsiders to take over uTorrent and download random content onto one’s system.

uTorrent developer Greg Hazel told TorrentFreak that he is aware of the issue and working on a fix. For now, the BitTorrent client itself is perfectly safe and secure.

General Discussion / controller recommendations?
« on: November 16, 2019, 03:20:23 am »
Which controller do you think is better between the dualshock and xbox one? It would be used on a pc since my 360 controller is starting to have issues and i feel like this is the best place to get an answer for optimal controllers since i know the pc subs would just recommend keyboard and mouse which isn't an optimal layout for me in most cases.

I'm leaning towards the dualshock for a couple reasons, first, it's a more unique design and supposedly more ergonomic, and I have heard it's easier to connect wired to a pc and keep charging as well as not using batteries which isn't a huge concern since i'd play wired anyways but still good to consider I think. I also use a lot of emulators for older consoles and so the d-pad location seems more ideal with the dualshock for them
