Hello everyone,,
Getting faster every day.

Hottest Ever Corsa

Vauxhall has pulled the wraps off the ultimate version of the Corsa - the long awaited VXR.

The performance flagship of the range is every inch a hot hatchback, with a 0-60mph time of just 6.8 seconds.

The mirrors, front foglamp surrounds and centre-exit exhaust tailpipe all have a triangular theme, while the aggressive front and rear bumpers are unique to this model.

Sweeping side skirts and an angular roof spoiler help accentuate the three-door Corsa's already muscular design, while a mesh front grille, blue-painted brake callipers and optional 18-inch alloys further set off the VXR's performance appearance.

The interior is dominated by the sculpted, shell-backed Recaro sports seats and the race-car style flat-bottomed steering wheel.

Drilled alloy pedals, piano black trim on the facia and unique VXR detailing on the dials and gear lever make sure the Corsa VXR looks as nifty inside as it does on the outside.how far

Power comes from a compact 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, developing 190bhp and giving the VXR a top speed if 140mph.

The latest Corsa will make its public debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and will be available from Vauxhall dealers from mid-March. Prices will be announced nearer to the launch date.

Gaming / How feasible is it to tack on a CPU heatsink to a GPU?
« on: September 13, 2019, 07:02:01 pm »
Trying to figure out if it's even worth it to put in an NH-D15 onto a a RTX 2080s. My main issue is that as a first time PC build, that I would damage the gpu components or even that it'd weight too heavy on the motherboard, and even though I'm willing to drop 2-3k on a desktop, doesn't mean I'm willing to incur a high risk to reward ratio like that. Anybody try it? There's a video on youtube where a guy did do it on an rtx 480 something or another and it worked really well. Thanks again.

My elderly neighbor has a desktop that keeps dropping internet so I was trying to help. Measured with the WiFiMan app on my phone and it says 40.8 Mbps download but when I go to spectrum and measure with the desktop it comes back with speed 3.5 Mbps? He said it was worse when the desktop was under the desk but I'm stumped. Could there be interference somewhere? I am on the same network next door and have a drop now and then but generally very strong connection. He says the guy who maintains his PC says there is nothing wrong with it and it is relatively new within the last couple of years. Any ideas?

General Discussion / UKpassports, about time too
« on: September 13, 2019, 01:39:08 am »
Hello everyone,,
Interviews for passports from April
From April, any adult applying for their first UK passport will face a compulsory face-to-face interview as part of a Government effort to reduce identity fraud.

Around 600,000 people a year will have to undergo a face-to-face interview at a special centre.

The scheme will be expanded in 2009 to anyone renewing a lost, stolen or expired passport.

A Home Office spokesman said the UK was more open to fraud because it was one of the few western countries that did not require applicants to be seen in person.

Chief Executive James Hall said: "We all as citizens recognise that we have to be inconvenienced by airport security but it's in our collective benefit that we are.

"So I think people will recognise that it's appropriate once in their lifetime to go through a little bit more inconvenience in order that we can ensure the integrity of the passport document."

But Liberal Democrat spokesman Simon Hughes said: "The Home Office needs to calm down, back off and let people go about their lives in an efficient way, efficient for people not efficient for the Home Office."
