Are you going to make a New Years resolution?

Do you feel like telling us about it?

My resolution is to visit my children, and grandchildren more often, because I rarely do.

not sure if that will meet with their approval though  [hmm]

Computers - Technology / strange little squares.
« on: September 23, 2008, 08:30:58 am »
I am getting black or white tiny little rectangles on my pages, only about two or three dotted about my page seemingly at random, one little white one seems to be following my cursor, could it be a 'key logger'? my Avast antivirus hasn't reported anything. if i clik outside this text box on the left, a little grey one appears at the bottom left hand corner of the text box, when i clik in the text box it disappears.

am i going mad, has Tex eventually done my head in, or has anybody else had this phenominon?  ???

« on: February 27, 2008, 10:22:05 am »
We had an earthquake in the UK last night. I was sat at my PC about 1am, and my son (22) came downstairs, and said ''what was that? the house shook, was it an earthquake?''....i hadn't felt a thing, i looked at him suspiciously and said ''have you got a woman up there?''
when i went out, ppl were at their bedroom windows, and front doors, saying we had an earthquake [yikes]

Computers - Technology / CPU usage
« on: February 01, 2008, 06:06:15 pm »
My PC has been getting slower and slower these days :(

I have run volume fragmentation but it says 'this volume does not need fragmenting'.
I ran scandisc that was ok.
yesterday i brought taskmaster up, clicked on 'applications' and it was showing 50-60%, and i had only my desktop on. :o
i had a look round and deleted a few programs that i don't use anymore, and then taskmaster was showing 0-5%, ( i can't remember which progs i deleted ::) ) so i was happy then.
this morning i ran taskmaster again whilst running Windows Live Messenger, and it was showing 70-90%, which i think is normal, but, underneath the green wavy line, in performance, was a red wavy line, i have never seen that before........i'm running Windows XP pro
any ideas guys???

In George Washington's days, there were no cameras. One's image was either sculpted or painted. Some paintings of George Washington showed him standing behind a desk with one arm behind his back while others showed both legs and both arms. Prices charged by painters were not based on how many people were to be painted, but by how many limbs were to be painted. Arms and legs are "limbs," therefore painting them would cost the buyer more. Hence the _expression, "Okay, but it'll cost you an arm and a leg."

Edit (by Deck):
A Stitch in Time:
A very confident James Bond walks into a bar and takes a seat next to a
very attractive woman.
He gives her a quick glance, then casually looks at his watch for a
moment.
The women notices this and asks, "Is your date running late?"
"No," he replies, "Q has just given me this state-of-the-art watch. I
was just testing it."
The intrigued woman says, "A state-of-the-art watch? What's so special
about it?"
Bond explains, "It uses alpha waves to talk to me telepathically."
The lady says, "What's it telling you now?"
"Well, it says you're not wearing any underwear ....
" The woman giggles and replies, "Well it must be broken because I am
wearing underwear!"
Bond smirks, taps his watch and says, "Bloody thing's an hour fast."
