Steam Community Market
« on: March 09, 2025, 07:54:45 pm »
Although skins are claimed by Valve to hold no monetary value, they may be sold on the Steam Community Market for Steam Wallet Credit, or sold on third-party websites such as OPSkins for real money through PayPal etc. They may also be used to gamble on various sites, or betted on pro matches. There are currently 2 lawsuits Valve is facing due to gambling within CS:GO, one concerning gambling in CS:GO as a whole and arguing for compensation of ANY ‘skins’ (and therefore money) which have been lost due to what is claimed as ‘illegal gambling’, despite Valve claiming skins have no monetary value. The other concerns a specific gambling site, CSGOLotto, where minors have lost money gambling skins, therefore being an illegal gambling site. However, as the site clearly states in its Terms of Service when registering that only users over the age of 18 may gamble on the site, the result of the lawsuit is in doubt.

I always thought that expensive skins were a waste of time, until I decided to buy my first cool skin. And so, I was choosing a site where I could do it safely and profitably, and came across DMarket. The first thing that attracted me was the pleasant design of the site and the user-friendly interface. After much thought, I decided to buy this skin here https://dmarket.com/csgo-skins/product-card/m4a4-asiimov. I paid by card, and literally a minute later the skin was in my inventory
