Disposable E-Mail Addresses
« on: September 22, 2008, 05:02:54 am »
Hi All,

It seems a lot today disposable e-mail address are being used to try to hide ones identity for security or other reasons more often "INTERNET" wide. While using these disposable e-mails can be a convenient way of maybe hiding a identity for correspondence between parties, using these sometimes can cause problems if needed later for information retreval or additional items offered by some web sites. In the Convivea Forum case the "Guevara Edition" notification's for software upgrade or returning lost members passwords can not be done without a good e-mail address. Please be assured Convivea will not revile, disclose, spam or sell anyones e-mail address that is used at this web site, your identity is secure.

Thank you, all members for being part of the "Convivea Forum Community" and a invitation to our daily Guest's to join us !!

Regards,
Fuzzy

Great subject fuzzy.
If I may quote a few lines sent earlier.

Yes I read it. I`m sure most people have thought of, or tried this system. The authorities have more than enough equiptment at their disposable to crack this lot. Would presume disposable e-mail addresses are used by folks that dont want to be caught , spamming/downloading copyright/or purely for criminal purposes/porn etc..
Keep up the good work, you will be a star someday.
cheers

I have like... 200 emails.. xD It's really sad.. 'cause I'll sign up for a new MSN, Yahoo, or AIM... after a few weeks... and not write it down or something then add someone important then not be able to find them.. Lately.. I've been trying to really stick with a few select emails and I have most of my important stuff written down. So there are a lot of pros and cons to having disposable emails.

Sad is not the word for it. 200 e-mail addys? Thats why us common folk are getting hit with spam every day. Personally I have only 2 addresses with crazy passwords, which I change now and again. Disposable e-mail iis for those that have something to hide, or are insecure.
cheers

I use disposable email addresses when I hire actors/etc for my films.

The first time I didn't and found that was a mistake. Not only do you get flooded with spam, but you get people asking you for the part months after it has already been filmed, I don't know why!

But anyway, you see my point.

Well they have there pro's and con's I use a free mail.ru account for most of my stuff as most spammers don't bother there are some Russian spammers that hit it but as I don't use that account for anything Russian its easy to filter messages out with Cyrillic in them & just dump them as spam.

I do short films and music videos mostly. At the moment I'm shooting live gigs/interviews for bands, to be streaming on a website we've set up. Should be up next week actually.

And I'm shooting a music video for a band on 16mm film this weekend. I'll show when it's finished.

But, of course, I do know people who are into shooting some of your kinds of movies  ::)
I can't imagine the kind of email spam I would get casting for that! haha!
