Java
« on: March 17, 2010, 11:46:56 am »
With Firefox as my browser (v3.6) I get hang-ups on any site that requires Java to load. Twice I uninstalled Java completely and had to reinstall. As for websites using Java to better web browse, I am at a loss. View the links below:

Make sure you are using the latest Java runtimes and not the Java SDK.

If you're still having problems, you should try another browser. If you're still having problems in Chrome or Opera for example, then you'll know that there's something wrong with your Java package.

Not the problem, when I run those websites with IE8 there is no problem; and while I try to adjust add-ons with Firefox all hell breaks loose (FF 3.6).

I don't use firefox, but in your original post you said you re-installed java but never mentioned uninstalling firefox and re-installing it. Try deleting all your add-ons, it sounds like you got a bad one.

Either that or try a new browser. Try Opera 10.51 :p
