For me currently AVAST! [despite recent probs]. Before that itwas AVG [until it false reported and deleted files twice!]. I use AVAST! now because its been finding more viruses than AVG and also deals with them in a more user friendly way.
Everything hides behind Zone Alarm [free] as I am more confident with this than anything else.

I like the avast anti-virus I have really had good luck with it . It warns you the second someone or something is messing with your comp.

avira is the best.    }--computer running fine
avg is the 2nd the best  }---work fine, internet fine
avast is the worst. }-- computer will hang until it finish scanning for spyware
kaspersky is the over protected.  }--- everything it take care, then it delete everything in the name of keygen, patch, crack in your PC, and first time you cannot surf to internet, it blocking you to there till you exit that anti-virus.

next... coming soon!

I trust Symantec's definitions the best but it also deleted all my cracks and keygens..lol.

I found the lady talking in Avast was really annoying.

I will try out Avira but I don't know if I can trust it's defintion library. There are a lot of no-name AVs out there that might have pretty decent interfaces but you have to keep in mind their definitions.

I keep all my cracks & keygens in a specific folder and program Norton to exclude said folder while scanning.

Spyware Doctor with Antivirus is my best of class pick for 2011. This antivirus and antispyware client blocked 100% of all viruses in our testings and was able to remove 100% of all viruses.

The Antivirus Software category contains programs developed to detect and remove computer viruses and other virus-related software from users' computers. Most software includes on-demand and scheduled antivirus scans. Many programs now include real-time antivirus protection and further spyware protection. Notable titles include AVG, Avira AntiVir, and Avast.

how many of these "anti virus" programs actually viruses themselves? ive seen it where u get the freebies and if u dont update wham u got a virus. would it be better to just be safer than to worry about having an antivirus program? just askin... i mean yeah there are stupid ppl out there that wanna corrupt, but still if theyre going to corrupt peoples stuff arent they going to find away around it anyway? its like locking your windows and doors.... it keeps honest people honest...
