Help setting up a forum please
« on: July 13, 2006, 07:29:16 am »
Hey

I am the committee for our Universities Anime club. Basically I have been given all the stuff for our forum, at the moment it is somewhat under siege by spam bots, so registration at the moment is suspended. I've been suggested to install vBulliten, but I've never gone about installing forums and that sort of thing before.

I have a Telnet account to access all the stuff, once I buy the software what would I have to go about doing then?
Daniel: "This tastes like chicken."
Carter: "So what's wrong with it?"
Daniel: "It's macaroni and cheese."

hehe.. yeh :)    but definitely give SMF a look, since its completely free, and so far seems to be doing a good job..  actually SMF has been the easiest for me so far, in terms updating, editing the templates, etc.. but, it is time consuming (they all are..)
