hey savaden,

sorry it took me a couple days to get some feedback, i was actually out of town this past weekend.

ok so, i really like the 32x32 icon. it looks good and is still different enough from other cheetahs out there to provide some distinction.

the ad banner looks good too, might be interested in seeing some different font ideas, but otherwise i like the color scheme and the grass in the background is cool too.

as far as the icon goes, there was another thread mentioning that dock icons are now standard at up to 300x300 resolution and a user was requesting the 'CHE' logo at that size. seems a bit large to me, but in any case, i guess i should ask about the cheetah icon. would it be possible to have an icon go up that large?

anyway, this is my vote for the strongest name change idea/theme and new logo so far. i like it, and seeing from the poll here, i think most people would welcome this change and still retain the familiarity of 'Bit Che'... which is good Smiley

nice job, and of course, thanks!

I didn't realise I had to vote again.

And that icon was the only reason I voted Bit Cheetah, I really like it.

Thanks for the feedback.

A 300X300 icon should not be a problem. I always try to start small, to be sure that the icon will be convincing at 32, 16 sizes. After that, I have more freedom b/c as the scale gets larger, the more detail I can incorporate and the  better it will look. My main concern is, I guess, the perspective of the icon, colors used, etc. Should the larger scaled icons contain "aqua", "new vista", or "classic xp" styles to them?

A different font is not a problem. What style would you like? Handwritten? plain, but also different from what I've posted? Just let me know.

I voted for:

1) Bit Che - Because I pronounce it Bit (gap) Che (as in Cheese) with much emphasis on Ch, so it never becomes awkward.

2) Bit Ninja - Because I love Ninjas!!

Hello new here.
I assumed it was for "Bit" (as in BIT torrent)  and "Che" (as in ERNESTO "CHE" GUEVARA)

Ok funny part first. I am so slow. I didn't even think of it being 'bitchy'. lol
I took the poll and the results showed me that the hunters are in lead.. I was thinking it's easy to remember and its a good word for what we do. Wink

Hey, Chip!

First of all...way cool program. It works very well and is very fast at bringing up search results.

I too very much like the name Bit Che. However, I see the dilemma with the whole vulgarity thing and all when someone reads it that isn't familiar with what Che means let alone it's correct pronunciation.

So, I have a few suggestions that I think you and others may truly enjoy as follows:

1. "Bit Cache" - The name is high tech and professional and it rolls off the tongue well and sticks in the mind.  It is loosely similar to "Bit Che". It just fits for what the program does in that it reduces the bottleneck time in finding torrents, is a fast performer and basically aids in searching over all as does cache with any processes. Oh and it's my original idea. hehe  Tongue If you like it, Chip, let me know and I will create icons, banners, logos and slogans for it.

2. "Torrent Cheetah" - Because the program is fast like a cheetah. Cheetahs are really cool and the name is also catchy like "Bit Cache". It's not my idea but I like it.   Cheesy

3.  "Bit Cheetah" - Rolls off the tongue well like "Bit Cache" does and also sticks well in the mind. hehehe It's loosely familiar "sounding" to the name "Bit Che". Is similar to "Torrent Cheetah". My hats off to whoever thought of it. *tips hat in respect* *lol* I like the whole "Hunt for torrents fast and quick aspect of the cheetah. The "Bit Cheetah" icons and banners that have been created are also very nice looking. I would add just one thing to the banner/slogan for "Bit Cheetah"...something to reference the speed factor of a cheetah. Cheetahs are so graceful as they run up to 80mph claiming the fastest animal title.

P.S. I made everyone around me angry by mouse overing your avatar/pic so it would play those first few words and notes, Chip! HAHAHA  Grin Thanks, it made my day laughing.
