HDbits banned clients

(1/2) > >>

Synbios:
why does HDbits ban so many clients?

The following clients are banned:
Azureus < 2.4
Bitcomet
Bitlord
BitSpirit
BitsOnWheels
Sharaza
G3
eXeem
Edonkey Plugin
MLDonkey
Transmission < 0.72 & 1.80 & 1.81
Utorrent < 1.6 & 1.7.x (except 1.7.2 and 1.7.5)

What's wrong with them? I'm afraid to ask there. Maybe i'm just missing the obvious reasons.

TheHalf™:
I'm not sure but just use µTorrent 1.7.5.

Synbios:
I do use uTorrent 1.7.5 but I looked at the ban list and I was like phew, out of ALL these clients, I use one of the very few that are not banned!

Quantum:
Possibility of cheating, they don't want to have to deal with legacy clients and potential security holes. uTorrent is a prime example, it's possible to cheat the server with one of those recent 1.7.x versions.

kdm:
thx
