features do you wish had been adapted into modern games?
« on: March 07, 2019, 02:54:59 am »
one important feature i actually miss about modern games is the shift-click, alt-click or ctrl-click as a chat functionality, which i first saw blizzard had implemented it in their games (wow, diablo). that stuff was bomb and intuitive!   Sarkari Result Pnr Status Showbox

you could show your chat mates your gear/item/loot and ask if it's worth keeping or if they wanted to have it, and upon clicking on that highlighted chat item you could see all of its stats as a separate tooltip/window, so you can compare it directly upon opening your own inventory window.

maybe it's just my perception of the state of gaming rn, but personally i am kind of sad this feature has kind of died out in modern games, with a few exceptions ofc (e.g. arpg's/mmorpg's still have it, as it's just too convenient; or games are not as reliant on text chat anymore).
