Go to most platform-specific or game-specific subreddits and you'll see consumers defend stuff that's absolutely indefensible. You see apologists for microtransactions, overpriced games, shoddy quality, etc. The only reasonable argument that anyone could ever make for those things is "these things are discussed too much, talk about something different".  free netflix tech news android 9 But going on, say, the RE subreddit, and criticizing Capcom for adding microtransactions into their games will get people defending them, saying things like "don't like it don't buy it," "you don't NEED to have it" and all the other non-excuses people always come up with. These arguments are obviously invalid, because they're not really arguments in favor of the thing that's being criticized, it's just saying "it's not that big a deal stop talking about it".
