Hi all,

Come and join us for live chat on IRC. You will need an IRC client such as mIRC before you can join. Once you have downloaded a version and installed it to your pc you may click the link in the top right of the page to join.

If you are new to IRC I would suggest that you use your site Nick. Also I strongly recommend that you register your Nick, this will stop someone else using your user name.

Subject: How to register your Nick
Type /msg nickserv register *password* *email*  Replace *password* with the password you would like and replace *email* with your email.

Once you have done this you must identify your self each time you enter IRC. This can be set up in the client.
Subject: How to identify your Nick
type /msg nickserv identify password

Look forward to chatting to you all soon!

Until Further Notice: I'm Offering A New Promotion For Getting "The Guevara Edition"  For FREE!!!

I would like to get more growth (idlers, users & visitors) in the IRC chatroom and posting this thread on Convivea will help some in the right direction! So, if you're interested in getting "The Guevara Edition" for FREE ánd you've some spare time left then you need to read carefully and follow the insctructions:

(~) You'll need to have or download an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) program.

(~) I have made a list of the five most common IRC programs:
- The most popular IRC client for Windows is called 'mIRC' and you can download this program from the official mIRC.Com website;
- ChatZilla is an IRC client for Windows, written in XUL and JavaScript for Mozilla web browsers it works as an Add-On;
- Trillian is a proprietary multiprotocol instant messaging application for Windows created by Cerulean Studios that can connect to multiple IM services, such as AIM, ICQ, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, Bonjour, Jabber, and Skype networks (the latter four with Trillian Pro which allows for additional plugins, which will change with Astra where plugins will be included in Basic);
- Colloquy is an open-source IRC client for Mac OS X;
- BitchX is the most popular IRC client for UNIX.

(~) Once you've a client installed, up and running, go to Options (mIRC users go to Options press Ctrl + O and then click the tab Servers - Add):
-Description: Convivea - Bit Che
-IRC Server: irc.p2p-network.net
-Port(s): 6667
-Group:

mIRC Options (Ctrl + O) and then click the tab Options and the button Perform;
Then you Enable perform on connect for All Networks and write /join #bit_che in the window.

Or type into the status window after you connected:
/server irc.p2p-network.net
/join #bit_che

Or follow this link:
irc://irc.p2p-network.net/bit_che

(~) Next, you must either participate in the chatroom (say hi, etc) or just hang out and idle. Once you have been there for a while (3+ DAYS) and the OPS get to know you, they will unlock your forums account for you. Do not join the channel and ask for your account to be unlocked. This FREE promotion is only for people who would like to help our IRC chatroom grow. If you are nice, and hang out for a couple days, we will be glad to unlock your account.

PS. This link will connect you immediately with mIRC: irc://irc.p2p-network.net/bit_che

Protect Your mIRC Nickname Against Unauthorized Usage!!!

After you've registered your nick to NickServ you should PROTECT it! Maybe you're wondering why it's necessary to do because:
With Protection ON, if another user tries to take your nick, they will be given one minute to change to another nick, after which NickServ will forcibly change their nick!

• If you want to enable this option then you need to copy the following command:
/msg NickServ SET KILL ON

• If you want to disable this option then you need to copy the following command:
/msg NickServ SET KILL OFF

• If you are disconnected but your nick is still on the server and in the rooms:
/msg NickServ GHOST YourNickname YourPassword
<<<<< An example >>>>>
/msg NickServ GHOST DrunKnJSD 1234567
