Title: Pump up my English skills for work quickly
Post by: Whysocky123 on June 26, 2024, 11:20:11 pm
I'm very much looking forward to a new job in a new, larger international company, but I am afraid that I won't be hired because my English level is not high enough. I'm very worried. I need this job!

If you have time, you can improve your skills with a tutor or different online courses. It's worth a try.

Or, if there is an option, make an agreement with a new company that you start learning on the job and guarantee that after a while your skills will be much better. Do you think it is possible to make such a condition? There are many different online courses now. I've heard good reviews on promova.com (https://promova.com/page/english-for-professionals), which has both Business English courses and English for Professionals. I think you should consider those options.

I totally get where you're coming from—it can be hard to figure out the best approach, right? One thing I’ve found useful is focusing on both grammar and speaking at the same time, but in a balanced way. For instance, mastering a bit of grammar every day gives you a solid foundation, but practicing conversational English is just as crucial for fluency. What helped me was using diverse resources, especially those offering interactive lessons and visual aids. If you're looking for a fun way to learn, try incorporating games and quizzes into your routine. And for practical learning, there’s a great site where you can dive deeper into English lessons, go for english (https://go-for-english.com/) which offers a wide range of engaging materials. This site mixes formal and casual learning elements, making it easier to improve both grammar and conversational skills at your own pace! Keep it consistent, and don’t forget to have fun with it!
