Post by: TheHalf™ on January 08, 2009, 01:58:01 pm
Here in America our football is finalized by the game of all games, The Superbowl! Our playoffs are games still in progress and will lead two teams (one from the AFC and one from the NFC) into a match for football supremacy! So the time approacheth, I established a poll with the teams competing for our members and visiteurs to vote.

Ya got me there.....I can't think of any sport with more pads worn by the average player in any sport  :(

But they still get hurt  8)
My guess would be that an athlete is more likely to get hurt in the NFL/football than any other sport even with the pads......But it just a guess and probably biased since I really only watch football  :D

Pittsburgh is by far the favorite.......
Vegas has betting lines for the Cards @ 50 to 1.....lol

I want the Steelers to win because Tomlin used to be the Defensive Coordinator for my beloved Vikings before becoming the head coach of the Vikes.....

It has also been noted by many NFL analyst that the Cardinals owe alot of sucess to the coachthat was fired before the current coach was hired........
Mr. Denny Green........
Who happens to be one of my most favorite coaches of all time.......
He was also the head coach of the Vikings before taking on the job with the Cards.....
He may of made some bonehead decisions with the Vikes but back when I was in elementary school we had an event called Star party......We were told to invite people that were local/national celebs to come to the star party.......I wanna say that now celebs came.......Denny Green didn't come either but he wrote me a hand written letter declining my request when most of the other classmates got no response or a message with just a secretary typed letter with the celebs signature......Now it doesn't mean much but back then when I was in fourth grade I was amazed he took the time to personally write me back..... 8)

I'm stil devastated over last year's Patriot's lost, being an inhabitant of Boston my entire life.

Even more devastated after Brady's injury. I'm assuming the rest of the country was in rejoice though.

I don't really have a preference as to who wins the superbowl, but if I had to pick one, I suppose it would be the Cardinals.

If the Steelers win they will be the team with the most super bowl wins (6).

This will be the Cardinal's first.

I just came off watching this game on tv, there was so much boring pre match hype i switched off, and booted my PC up.
dunno about NFL, but UK soccer/football does give you kick off time so you can tune in 5mins before the match starts.

I think the Packers will take home this one..and it may be the start of a new Aaron Rodgers dynasty similar to Tom's early years.

Patriots fail :/
