Still more updates and drivers as I work through this lot
Why wasnt I born clever instead of rich. ;D

Looking through figures from more modern cards/systems, the above is quite poor. But its only a family pc.lol.

;D Wow! I can play Quake 4 and Crysis, well past the minimum requirements but of course not up to the standards of the 8800 boys. Still not a bad result  for first time. 8)
cheers

CPU temp 19-24deg c
CPU fan 384-595 rpm
Case fans 1990 rpm
Maxtor HD temp 28deg
Was getting 2 short bleeps and 1 long bleep which I finally figured out to be BIOS. Udated and no bleeps. For AGP rig this will be good for family PC.   20" Acer tft flat screen monitor ordered and on way http://www.amazon.co.uk/Acer-P203W-CrystalBrite-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/customer-reviews/B000VPHOZ8/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1&customer-reviews.start=1#customerReviews. Everything working now .
cheers again.

;D just a short update on the his x1950 pro q3 ice agp graphics card. using the e4500 core 2 duo processor, i didnt realise i could change bios at start up to 1066 fsb which cpu supports. now getting better results . original cpu at 2.2ghz now at 3.3ghz with room for much more. futuremark 3d results now well into the 6500 score. broadband speeds on toast over 7mb. graphics are good but nothing like the scores on the 8800gt sli rig over 13000 marks now).
still testing.
cheers

Be careful about overclocking too much, ultimately no matter how carefully you overclock it does increase wattage and does reduce the life of a CPU, if you increase voltage it does this even more so.
Daniel: "This tastes like chicken."
Carter: "So what's wrong with it?"
Daniel: "It's macaroni and cheese."

understand what you are saying, when i changed fsb in bios it automatically set cpu at 2.9ghz, i only overclocked this figure by 3-4%. might change psu to the same one in 8800gt rig thermatake 600w which is professionally finished in braided wire coverings/sata connections, and 20% auto config for voltage settings (1.33-1.46 in v-core).
have standard 500w psu with agp rig.temperatures are excellent cpu 28 deg on idle.                                               cheers
