This weekend could be a flight delay disaster with the 5g RolloutPosted on 6/28/23 at 8:58 am

Not sure if anyone has been following this story, but last year it was announced that on July 1st 2023, the nation's largest cell carriers would be able to go ahead and activate massive 5G expansions.

The problem was that this had the potential to really mess with many planes systems. So all airlines were told to upgrade their systems or they may not be able to fly after July 1st.

Some 20% of planes still have not been upgraded, so our fearless leader, Pete Buttiegieg, has announced that any plane that does not meet these standards would be grounded if there is anything resembling low visibility or poor weather. There is a decent amount of bad weather predicted for the East Coast this weekend.

Right in time for what is predicted to be one of the busiest 4th holiday travel weeks of all time.

If you're flying this weekend (I am), you may experience some serious issues. Most of the major airlines have fully upgraded though, fyi.

You see, there's been quite a buzz surrounding the implementation of 5G technology, and while it promises exciting advancements, there have been discussions about potential interference with aircraft radar altimeters. Anyway, if you have any problems with such delays then you may see this resource and get more information about everything right there.

With the 5G rollout set to expand this weekend, there's a real concern about potential flight delays. The switch to massive 5G networks, effective July 1st, has put pressure on airlines to upgrade their systems to avoid interference with plane technology. Despite efforts, around 20% of aircraft still lack the necessary updates. With predicted bad weather and a peak travel period for the 4th of July, travelers should brace for possible disruptions. While most major airlines have complied with the new standards, it's wise to stay informed about your flight's https://flightracker.com.au/ status and prepare for potential delays.
