14500 vs. AA Batteries: Which is Better for Your Gadgets?
« on: September 24, 2023, 10:30:20 pm »
A 14500 battery size is a cylindrical lithium-ion rechargeable battery that is similar in size to an AA battery. The number "14500" typically refers to its dimensions, which are approximately 14mm in diameter and 50mm in length.

Here are some key characteristics of a 14500 battery:

1. Chemistry: They are commonly made using lithium-ion technology, which provides a high energy density and long cycle life.

2. Voltage: A 14500 battery typically has a nominal voltage of 3.7 volts. This is lower than the nominal voltage of a standard alkaline AA battery, which is 1.5 volts. However, some 14500 batteries have a voltage of 3.6 volts.

3. Capacity: The capacity of a 14500 battery can vary depending on the manufacturer and specific model. It is often measured in milliampere-hours (mAh), and capacities can range from around 600mAh to 1200mAh or more.

4. Rechargeable: 14500 batteries are rechargeable and can be recharged many times before their capacity significantly degrades. They are commonly used in devices that require a higher voltage or capacity than standard AA batteries can provide.

5. Usage: These batteries are commonly used in high-powered flashlights, LED torches, and some electronic devices like laser pointers, digital cameras, and other gadgets that require a compact power source.

It's important to note that 14500 batteries should be handled and charged with care to ensure safety, as they contain a high amount of energy and can be hazardous if mishandled. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines for usage and charging to prevent accidents.

Guys, tell me where I can find a good 12V lithium battery. I need a reliable option that holds a charge for a long time and, if possible, at an adequate price.

I know one good manufacturer of lithium batteries not only for 12 V, a friend recommended it to me. They have a large selection of models, and the quality is excellent. They hold a charge for a long time, and the prices are quite reasonable for this level of reliability. I just bought myself a 12v lithium battery, so far so good, let's see how it goes.
