Best and popular are not the same thing  :P

I mean Halo... seriously?
Daniel: "This tastes like chicken."
Carter: "So what's wrong with it?"
Daniel: "It's macaroni and cheese."

;D We are all guilty of playing games because they were fun at the time. I still play Pac-Man on my old Atari and many people still stray back to Mario.lol. Its a choice we all make.

Texas, See the thing is.. Pac-Man and Mario are great original series.. so of course we're going to stray back to them. As the graphics improve and games become more detailed, I think.. The true amazement and interest dies out. The new Pac-Man and Mario games, are just.. disgraceful to the originals...  It's quite sad actually. Many people may think other.. but that's my opinion.

I still have my old Sega Megadrive, games, books, everything. I haven't the heart to throw it out, it brings happy memories of trying to beat my children at it......I never did :(

Halo = most overrated game of the new generation. If it didn't have LAN do you really think it would have gotten this popular?

Compare it to Goldeneye 64...come on

Well WOW has been shown to be a VERY addicting game, I wouldn't expect anyone to be able to pry away from their computer to use an old system like Xbox.

Xbox is very fun if you have a lot of people over with a plethora of multiplayer games, and if you get more than one system and TV that can be even more fun. I don't think I ever spent much time playing Xbox solo.

I never had a XBOX but I got a Xbox 360........
My 360 can play xbox games but I've never felt the need.......
I havn't played my 360 for awhile because been busy otherwise I just play my Madden 09 on it........

If your son had a 360 and fable 2, he'd might like it but IDK
My lil bro has 15 games and he loves it....
I tried out his game "Rockband" and it wasn't too bad........

Concerning Halo, the majority of gamers love it.......
I've never played or gotten into but when I've watched people play it didn't look too bad.....
Just not my type of game but it still deserves respect....IMO

So, reading between the lines, I should put the Xbox, and my old Sega megadrive down the tip, along with my electric kettle that has just blown my electrics [cry]

I still have all my old systems. I played some megadrive over christmas break, it's funny when once in a blue moon I have time to actually boot up the old systems.

My son Andrew (25yrs) got made redundant 6 months ago, and most of the time he played 'World  of Warcraft'. Since he got a new job 2 weeks ago, he has hardly played it. I was very worried that he would become addicted. So he must have more sense than i gave him credit for ;)
