Yes ... all at the same time ... it's almost like there's some problem affecting them all ... like there's something bigger going on in the world affecting banking and lending institutes ... like some sort of systemic financial problem, if only the media were reporting on it we'd know more

Not true at all, the amount of money executives can receive is very tightly monitored, even gifts have to be valued to make sure they fit in with these laws. When The President takes a gift it's often treated as a gift to "The United States" and is therefore valued, sorted and put on appropriate display at some point.

Parties and Legislators on the other hand it's a whole different ball game.

You mean like William Jefferson from the 2nd District of "Louisiana"  who got caught with $ 10,000 US in new $10 dollar bills that were in his freezer they were marked bills by the FBI ....... that kinda thing ??
