Transferring large game files.
« on: August 13, 2006, 05:19:19 am »
My daughter plays Vampire the Masquerade (not internet game) The file is up to 2.9GB on family pc.All pc`s in house are on a wireless network with 10mb broadband supply. Is it possible to transfer to my pc upstairs which has good graphics 2gb ram etc.without putting every thing on cdr or e-mail. Anyone have any thoughts??? Can I compress file and e-mail and open with win rar.
cheers

It would be a whole lot easier to transfer the game to a DVD-R that is assuming that pc has a DVD RW drive installed.
Also if you have the game disc then another option that I would have used would be to only transfer the folder with all the save game files in it then go upstairs install the game again then just put the saves in.

Hope this helps

Got all the saved folder files burned to dvd. Now all I have to do is find the time to run the install cdr`s and add files to new folder.
What is free time.lol
