Choosing materials for building a shop front
« on: April 16, 2025, 06:40:25 pm »
I'm helping my cousin with designing the exterior of his new store. We want something that looks modern, is durable and low maintenance. Any recommendations on what materials to use for a clean, professional look?

Interesting project! I’d love to know what materials others here have used for similar builds.

Honestly, if you’re looking for something sleek and practical, I’d recommend considering aluminium composite https://glamourdecor.com.au/services/ . My team used it for a boutique storefront in Sydney, and it’s held up great against the elements and still looks brand new after two years. It’s also really versatile – you can customize the finish, and it's lightweight, which makes installation way easier than other traditional materials. Maintenance is minimal, too – just a simple wipe down every now and then. We got ours through an Australian supplier who offered a range of design services along with the materials. Definitely worth checking out if you’re aiming for a polished, modern aesthetic without constant upkeep.
