Hey folks, just wondering — what's been more cost-effective for you: building an in-house mobile dev team or outsourcing? We hired a couple of devs in-house last year, but after a few months, the overhead started creeping up — salaries, equipment, management time. Curious if outsourcing might’ve been smarter. Anyone gone that route and had better luck?

Oh man, I’ve been down both roads. A while back, we were trying to get a mobile app off the ground fast, so we brought in a small in-house team. Worked great at first, but when we hit delays, it got pricey — paying full-time salaries even when there wasn’t always full-time work. Switched to outsourcing later and, honestly, it balanced out better for us. You still need a point person to communicate with the devs, but costs were easier to manage. Just stumbled into this thread while looking for something else — funny how that happens. Not really in the mobile dev world myself, but it’s always interesting reading about how people manage their projects. Everyone’s setup seems so different depending on size, goals, and budget.
