I run a one-person online consultancy, and most of my calls are international. I’ve been using a mobile app but the quality drops constantly, and it’s not very professional. I’m looking for a solid VoIP service that won’t break the bank. Any solo folks here who found something that works?

Following this thread too. I'm currently juggling two apps and it’s far from efficient.

I had the same problem juggling between personal and business calls, especially when dealing with international clients. https://esimplus.me/blog/cheapest-voip-phone-service pointed me toward a few providers I hadn’t even heard of before. What stood out was the detailed comparison—they really dig into pricing, features, and use cases. I ended up choosing one that fit my solo business model perfectly: it offers a virtual number, voicemail-to-email, and call recording without charging crazy monthly fees. It also gave me the option to scale if I ever hire a VA. The best part? I finally sound like a legit business when talking to clients. Clients noticed the difference too, and one even asked what service I was using. Definitely worth a look if you want value without sacrificing function.
