There are pros and cons to all browsers, my preference is Firefox and like Quantum says when I.E. was in hiatus I personally went to Firefox and the rest is history.

P.S. Try opening the following link with your personal browser and then Firefox. Post your thoughts.

Hi Half,
I can only give you an answer to half of the equation since I am not using firefox.
Hitting on the link it immediately updated flash and installed flash player 10.1. One little active x and everything was over in less than a minute.
No problems this end on IE
cheers

Hi Half. Why is firefox any better than IE?  I used to run firefox but it was always trying to catch up with IE. Running MS IE is always the faster of the two and less complicated. There used to be security issues with IE but now we are up to date and  firefox is the one trying to catch up.
cheers

Yeah, I quite like it, but there are a couple too many bugs at the moment for me at the moment, they out weigh the speed increase and stuff. Looking very forward to the alpha and beta versions, I know Gecko 1.9 Alpha 1 is out, but I think I'll wait for Firefox 3 Alpha 1 final to come out.

Yes so I see and bug 300030 has been fixed, meaning it Firefox is improved in speed, is a smaller size and should now pass the Acid2 test :).

I'll test it out shortly

Sorry not head of that one. But Mozilla do have a support forum for Firefox: http://forums.mozillazine.org/index.php

I updated to 2.0.0.5 and seems a lil choppy. Anyone else having problems? If so please chime in.

2.0.0.5 is fine for me, but things like this do happen to people, I guess you could try a clean install, or report your bugs to bugzilla. Anyway, Firefox 3 isn't long away now, I think beta 1 should start real soon.

Just had another update to 2.0.0.6 and all seems well thus far.

P.S. Here's a link to a story on why there was a patch for Firefox 2.0.0.6:
